Kara graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley with a degree in Media and Communications. . At the time, it was the first Canadian University to offer studies in new media. UFV’s Media and Communication Studies program examined the diffusion of information, the current technological changes, the methods we use to communicate, and the media’s role in our everyday lives.
